First of all there is no law that says a presidential candidate must do something so personal.
Secondly, when a candidate's lawyer says don't do it, you listen to your lawyer's advise, the one to whom you pay good money for being a professional adviser. The nosy public and media would just hold up the campaign, that already lasts too long, by pecking through it like a prying frenzied flock of chickens gone berserk
