LET US ON THIS MEMORIAL DAY PAY HOMAGE TO ALL SOLDIERS

In 1902 at the end of the Second Boar War the governor of St. Helena's Island, where Napoleon died, told the town's people to show respect for the Dutch Boer prisoners of war getting off the first ship sailing in to the warf: "Show respect for these soldiers who believed that they were figting for their homelnad.  Right or wrong, this is what is their own mindset."

We all soldier our way through life.  We are dandy lions with stems full of human kindness. May we never forget our human hearts and what we consider is right.  We all return to Earth, our mother, the ashes of our lives.  May we honor the great courage and dedication it takes to be men and women of war.
