PRAISE THE LORD AND PASS THE AMMUNITION

This old WW II song resonates among evangelistic candidates coming out of the their bigoted caves and lairs in full force, like Mark Rubio and Ted Cruz champing at the bit to get "God" back into government.  The real thrust defying U.S founding fathers' insistence of separation of church and state is hidebound backward rhetoric–those unwilling to change from ingrained customs that has caused claustrophobic world chaos ever since the first century of original Semitic religions.

In short, can anyone trust the source of a Hebrew Bible and its tacked on Pauline New Testament to run a nation of  thousands of varied religions all saying they are "God's chosen people?"  How ridiculous can they get.  Even a child would question the absolutist corruption of the word "God"–a generic name for a deity. America is great for its variety of beliefs, to each his own.

I have wonderful friends in all three related Abrahamic religions. But as a recovering Protestant, I question how a Jew can be a creator of the entire universe?  How can any mortal man from any culture be lord of the rings of fire always on the kill of one another?  And how can evangelists pray for peace but still beef up a military that is already boated with Earth devastating weapons?

Jesus and Gandhi were the greatest promoters for global peace.  Blessed are the peacemakers.  The only genuine candidate I could vote for is Bernie Sanders.  For decades he's followed the teaching of Jesus in helping the poor and loving your enemies.  Jesus of Nazareth in Israel was a socialist.  Evangelists babel for peace but are the first to hop on the band wagon of baby deforming wars destroying Earth, causing earthquakes, toxic fumes and suffering people all by the depths of hell!
