However, President Teddy Roosevelt never mentioned Carnegie's magnanimous offer to the Kaiser if he would cease to fight WW I and call a truce. Roosevelt felt it was a crazy idea and never wired Wilhelm. If the head leader in Germany had accepted the offer, perhaps WW I would not have devastated great regions of Earth, as its sequel, WW II is ended with war crime genocide in Japan, even though President Truman knew Japan was making plans to surrender. But Truman made the bombs drop because the US had paid so much money to produce them. His reckless action triggered the worst world war crime, as in reality radioactive winds churned around the globe causing cancer to many innocent people, besides the victims in Japan.
Ironically, both WW I and WW II were supposed to be the end of all wars. But the rape of war and its war-torn people, especially refugees who are the result of futile religious wars, race on and mankind still marches soldiers to death and life-time handicaps. Andrew Carnegie in 1910 founded Carnegie Endowment for International Peace since he hated war as did Albert Eintein and President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Einstein referred to war as murder
