In more modern times the shift is seen in the words of Mikhail Gorbachev the author of A Time For Peace. He wrote "the environmental problem is the first problem to be solved in the 21t century." He also said "We need to have Star Peace instead of Star Wars as we stop the arms race." But most significant is his statement, "Jesus was the first socialist who wanted to make a better world for mankind."
In America golden peace is leaking through the shadows of predominant futile toxic military solutions to words of Ronald Reagan who believed in a nuclear free war. Today Japan declared its nation to be nuclear free for obvious reasons. Barack Obama's campaign speech was a promise for the United States being nuclear free as witnessed in his recent visit to Hiroshima. Other great diplomats include John Kerry and Bernie Sanders who wants to eliminate archaic wars, as does Libertarian Johnson a candidate for a new innovative third party whose platform includes eliminating bloody wars, responding to the global cry of the people.
Even if Jesus for some reason would return to a war-torn nuclear missile exploding Earth in the figure of a different older man, the stubborn Republican Congress would reject his virtues, values and humanitarian goals for equality and good jobs for everyone, as well as free tuition for college-age youths.
