One person one vote was overshadowed by the Electoral College invented to keep fascists and uneducated people from winning presidential votes.
But today, with ultra-communication everyone knows who is the best candidate with the media constantly revealing how campaigners think, what their issues are and everything known about their past lives and those of their families. With this knowledge and information there is no one kept in the dark about those campaigning for the presidency.
