John Dewey (1859-1952) wrote "Democracy is about life in general." Democracy and equality for every nation commits World peace. This progressive educator, a philosopher of pragmatic, functional psychology, was born in Burlington, VT. His professional career inccluded universities in Michigan, Minnesota, Chicago and Columbia. His book, How to think, Democracy and Education, Reconstruction in Philosophy, etc, is still noteworthy in schools today.
