CIRCLING BOOMERANG

The following poem I wrote during the George W. Bush Administration's illegal invasion, attack and occupying of Iraq.  It reflects blatant genocide, especially in Fallujah where children are still being born with gross lifetime malformations, if they survive babyhood.

Dear Ones,

This holocaust also affects infants of soldiers no matter what side armies fight on.  U.S. "depleted" uranium from toxic bullets and weaponry made from nuclear waste is the villain. One of the top TV channels showed this horror of mutilated newborns, but audiences shut it off since it was too much of a shock. And so the monstrosities of war remain hidden like millions of broken bodies of combatants shipped back in caskets, concealed from sight under U.S. flags.

CIRCLING BOOMERANG

Divisive persuasions trapping Earth at fast rate,
In  terrifying fear from red glare of hate.
Labyrinths of carnage, war's  failed diplomacy,
Nations point guns at others, war's violent fate.

Toxic weapons of immorality, mortality by the score,
Circling boomerangs of mock futility, ignorance at its core.
Glory showered in transparency, through endless tears.
What will it take to stop serial crimes called wars?
