THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS ABSOLUTE SECURITY

All the stockpiled ammunition and arsenals in the world will never bring complete security.  No one knows this better than the reckless military with seven H-bombs accidentally or on purpose dropped on land and sea, with outmoded radioactive submarines dumped in oceans that are warming and melting polar ice.  The Japanese feel this more than any other people.  By the way, Japan is now declared a nuclear free nation.

Dear One,

Astute leaders down through history have found the falsehood of security as a universal truth.

General (President) Dwight D. Eisenhower said it best in his own words.

"The problem of defense is how far you can go without destroying within what you are trying to defend from the without."

"I think people want peace so much that one of these days government had better get out of the way and let them have it."

"If you want total security, go to prison  There you're fed, clothed, given medical care, etc.  The only thing lacking is freedom."

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final action a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.  This world in arms is not spending money alone.  It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the geniuses of its scientists, the hopes of its children.  This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron."
