The words of Suleyman Demirel, former prime minister, president and leader of the Justice Party in Turkey, is in a sense a golden rule. Benjamin Franklin, world traveler, reflects the same. "There never was a good war or a bad peace."
Dear Ones,
If memory serves me, in the 1980s I among five other fifers and drummers led a procession at Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh (Oakland suburb). It was in honor of Suleyman Demorel who was receiving an honorary degree in the US. I shall never forget his words–"War will not bring good to any country.".
