BONO AND THE EDGE AND EAGLES OF DEATH METAL BANDS MAKE WORLD HISTORY

Song birds of the world inspire the spirit of peace on Earth. Throughout history it's the musicians, singers, song writers and lyricists of poetry who inspire  international values and principles that are often attributed to one authoritative religion.  On the other hand it's the Genghis Kans, the Ivan the Terribles, the Mussolinis and the Hitlers, to name a few tyrants, who commit vicious, brutal massacres on Earth, our only sustenance for people, animals and all forms of life on the only planet we know.

Dear Ones,

This truth became manifest when Bono and the Edge band joined Jesse Hugh's Eagles of Death Metal band to perform on stage within the huge Bataclan Concert Hall in Paris, filled to capacity.  This was after the recent terrorist attacks in that city resulting in 130 deaths, likened to September 11, 2001 attack in America during the last administration that caused the world to grieve.

What an emotional response to honor the victims and express "we are all brothers" and sisters. One of the inspiring songs, Every Breaking Wave, lovers who have lost lovers, brought the audience again to tears. The entire show of rocking and rolling not only was drama in the fast lane as these two bands joined hands in song, but the audience as well as the band leaders were impressive. Bono put the mike up for the audience to be heard singing verbatim, lyrics of the songs, from time to time. The people sang word for word, even with the same rhythm of pauses, crescendos and diminuendos of the musicians. It was amazing to witness how the fans they knew all the words!

And then there was the sweet voice of Madonna. But as the concert came to its end,  it  was the sudden awe inspiring voice-over of Stephen Hawking spreading quintessential wisdom for all Earth, spelled with a capital E for respect.

As a musician since the sixth grade, I impulsively have been driven from within to write for international peace that doesn't cost thousands of lives and trillions of dollars.  Music is an invaluable benefit to humanity, a warm feeling that brings back nostalgic memories of life. And it's musicians such as the above, together with talented song writers Michael Franti of Spearhead and John Lennon who help keep the planet safe and sane as can be, even though Plato born in 70 B.C.E. wrote, "There's no safety in war."

To sum it all up, what a show for the entire world to behold! By the way, a sweet wren keeps pecking at my window.  I can still see and hear it through the glass, What a joy of nature!
