THEIR IS NOW A MOVEMENT TO ABOLISH TWIRLING DERVISHES

O wad some power the giftie gee us to see irselves as ithers see us. Robert Burns bequeathed wisdom to the world at large. We all inherit our own customs, mores and persuasive rites. The Big Three related main stream religions, going around in endless bruhaha crossfire, presents the following group picture in a nutshell:

Hebrews in black nodding heads up and down, Christians genuflecting on their knees that began with king worship, Protestant Shakers shaking themselves all about, Muslims twirling in dizzy dervishes, black robed priests and black robed nuns with shaved heads under cover as well as Muslim women completely concealed from head to toe. Catholics and Protestants (protesters mimicking the consuming of the body of their god and drinking his blood is reminiscent of primitive warriors eating the heart of their enemy as they thought the action would bring them great courage and bravery.

These varied motions illustrate diverse global religiosity. Today some factions mock or try to suppress certain cultural ways, as some people attempt to abolish twirling dervishes in the Islamic persuasion.  As long as rituals do no harm to any form of life, people should have the right to continue each rite.
