In all the good rhetoric concerning U.S. veterans of foreign wars, let us remember who are brave enough to protest the terrorism of war–those who have bitten its dust in exhaustion despite their tremendous strength. They, too, have been severely injured with life-time handicaps by political leaders flippantly saying such shocking things about war, as the gall of 2003,"Bring it on!" by a president who avoided military training totally with the help of family affluence and in knowing the right people. All those wearing combat boots suffer from devastation by corporate industrial warfare. Many now have the courage to protest ongoing perpetual wars with corporations being the only winners.
Dear Ones,
Most of us civilians have no idea of the physical suffering and emotional trauma to the body of soldiers. It's so easy to flippantly say "We pray for them and appreciate their sacrifices" and go about our business.
Perhaps the most outstanding erudite leader and also one of ten top authors in the United States is Noam Chomsky, Emeritus of Massachusetts Institution of Technology He has been a professor of MIT for many years and is like a guru to the IVAW that actively push back the oppression of militant aggression since it's a lame excuse to keep a war economy divids the nation when we the people have lost a stomach for all war's divisive devices.
Professor Chomsky said if we are concerned about terrorism, than don't participate in it. This statement has greater depth and insight than most people realize. He also said refugees have a right to safe havens, especially since wars cause displaced people who lose everything, but most of all, their loved ones and their health in the crossfire of battle.
